When my floss knots up and I get a small loop in the floss. I just put my needle in the middle of the loop pull up on the loop and then pull down on one end of the floss. If the doesn't work I pull down on the other end of floss. That should loosen the knot. 3. use spot plasters on your finger and thumb when your stitching much ... I use the bobbin method, i wind my threads on bobbins and keep them in plastic trays. I label the bobbin with a sticker representing the colour of the thread. I have 3 boxes each almost full.

Its really useful for zooming in on fine details too, just open it from file and stitch away.
